Remeniscing one month later

Well here it is one month later and the students are all settled into classes ----but Honduras still seems to be on their minds---at least judging by the chatter going on in facebook and knowing that the LA students are working on a design for La Provendencia for their junior design course (taught by Profesora Sam). All in all the trip was a huge success and I continue to be amazed by all that has happened, including the web of relationships of Hondurans and Blackhawk folks and UW friends---This is to me what it is all about. The opportunity to show God's love and experience his work going on before our eyes----it makes it all worth it.

What now? Well we still have more work to do on the playground. The Advent conspiracy---thanks to the Junior High group has provided some funds for our final big piece of playground equipment, a jungle gym----do you want to help? We still need a few thousand dollars to get it and as soon as we do we will ship it down and hopefully get it installed this summer!!!

Next weekend we are planning a party for the team that went and our relationships continue as we went through something together that we will not soon forget. We appreciate your support and prayers and we ask that you continue to pray that the trip will have a lasting positive effect. Also pray for Pastor Andres and Norma as they work hard to bring the good news to Orica.

Today is Friday, January 16. Our group has been going two separate directions this week to work on separate projects. The Landscape Architecture studetns have been spending much time with city leaders from Siguatepeche making plans for a new playground to be built. They have been working so hard and literally may be up all night tonight as they finish drawing plans for the project.

Our other crew has been working on a new garden area at La Providencia which is an orphange based in the town as well. It's an amazing story to hear the impct that this orphanage is having on this community. It is great to be serving them.

Some folks on the team found new ways to travel.

Taking a hike around town.
